Mats Andersson, vice chairman of the Global Challenges Foundation, writes a letter to the editor of the Financial Times “Citizens worldwide want action on climate change”, published on 8 June 2017, on the need of a fundamental rethink of the structures of global governance if they are to represent the world’s people and deal effectively with the scale and complexity of today’s global threats.

The article features the results of the “Global Catastrophic Risks 2017” annual report and the eight country survey recently commissioned by the Global Challenges Foundation, on the general public’s views on global risk and global governance.
